SOIRÉE EN MOTS ET EN MUSIQUE: A TRIBUTE TO BAUDELAIRE (8 Septembre)

Baudelaire specialist, actors and classical Tamil musicians will be present on the Friday 8th of September for a tribute to the grand French poet.  A lecture will be hosted by PHD holder, Anil Dev Chiniah, Emmanuel Richon, custodian and Emmanuel Genvrin, playwriter. The conferences would be followed by voice and musical lectures with Henri Favory and Marie-France Favory and of a trio: mridangam Mayaven Murden, Rajesh Marday on the vînâ and Emmanuel Richon on the double bass.

Jazz lovers be ready! Book your Friday night on the 22nd of September for an explosion of French jazz along with the sound of Cape Town and our island, Mauritius. The first part of the concert will he hosted by the famous saxophonist, Guillaume Perret from France. Meet our local jazz stars, Philippe Thomas and Christophe Bertin for the second part of the show along with the young South-African bass player, Benjamin Jephta, accompanied by Guillaume Perret. A promising musical show!

LE MONDE TEL QU’IL VIENT : DÉMOCRATIES SOUS PRESSION – PASCAL BONNIFACE (23 Novembre)

The French geopolitical scientist and specialist of international relations, Pascal Boniface will be hosting a debate on the future of the democratic system, on Thursday 23rd of November. Even if democracy is now popular in all the continents, some question like the rise of the populism in the Western world, the growing influence on the international scheme of authoritarian rule and the mistrust of citizens are still unanswered. Pascal Boniface will be present to provide possible answers and perspectives on the subject.
