Following the first round of the MCB Tour Championship 2018 on the Legend golf course at Constance Belle Mare Plage in Mauritius, Constance Lemuria in The Seychelles has hosted the second part of the tournament from the 14th to the 16th of December last. And the winner is… Roger Chapman.
Golf legends at their best
After Clark Dennis, winner of the first round of the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius – with a total score of 193, i.e. -23 under par,which has enabled him to equal last year’s tournament record and that of Constance Golf Legend by Thaworn Wiratchant -, Roger Chapman has shown his mastery by becoming the winner of the second round in The Seychelles. After three tight rounds between Chapman, Martin, Lehman and Price, ending on a play-off on the 18th hole between Price and Chapman, the latter has secured the winning title with a total score of 175, i.e. -6 under par. Roger Chapman also becomes the winner of the « Indian Ocean Swing » – which consecrates the player achieving the highest points on the two competitions.
The champion has received his trophies in the presence of Jean-Jacques Vallet, CEO of Constance Hotels, Resorts & Golf, Ryan Howsam, Chairman of Staysure, Pierre-Guy Noël, CEO of the MCB, and Raoul Gufflet, Deputy CEO of the MCB. The Seychelles Minister of Tourism, Didier Dogley, as well as Sherin Francis, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, were also present for this first competition in their country.
