Turtle Bay, Mauritius, has been honoured in Berlin this year, especially the excellent touristic services nurtured by Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius. The 5-star hotel, nestled along the 800 m-long natural beach and part of the first preserved marine park of Turtle Bay, has been awarded a ‘2018 Top Quality Award’ by TUI, the No.1 German tourist operator. This reward once more confirms the hotel as a legitimate top lister of TUI’s leading 250 hotels!
A fresh TUI Top Quality Awards? Of course!
The Berlin-held prize-giving ceremony has rewarded some Mauritian hotels, including 5-star Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius. They have all been carried high the four-coloured national flag by topping the list of the 8,000 hotels proposed by TUI. To achieve this, laureate hotels have to be devoted to details, high-end service and an outstanding culinary level. Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius has them all and no one else than its clients have acclaimed this. Thanks to their excellent comments, through online surveys, the hotel has been assessed on the whole array of its services. And it has won a new Top Quality Award.

The recipe for success
The TUI Top Quality Award is the highest distinction allocated to first-class hotels. It necessitates a special recipe: a minimum of 30 ‘excellent’ assessments during the year-round TUI survey, being TUI safety checked and signing the TUI Germany swimming pool safety declaration . And Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius had the right ingredients!
Moreover, it had extra secret ingredients: a tropical garden named ‘Most beautiful garden of Mauritius’; the historical ruins of Balaclava and the 18th-century ruins which are part of the estate, and the gastronomic quality of its 6 restaurants – among which Château Mon Désir. The latter has once more been selected to participate in Goût de France on 21st March last for its fourth edition. On the occasion 2,000 Chefs, from 5 continents, have simultaneously presented a menu in honour of French gastronomy, part of UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage.
