Nominated in the category of Indian Oceans’s Best Golf Hotel, the Long Beach has become the winner on the 25th of November at La Manga Club in Spain. This consecration was even more symbolical as the World Golf Awards 2017 ceremony, which celebrated the Mauritian hotel as an example of excellence in the luxury tourism industry, was attended by the Director of Sales & Marketing Southern Europe, Blanca Casado. Next to 11 other golf hotels in Mauritius also nominated World Golf Awards 2017, the Long Beach Golf & Spa has proved that golf is a family business for the Sun Resorts group. Votes are made by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry. They reward excellence in golf tourism, world class courses and golf destinations. The aim of the 2017 World Golf Awards is also to raise the golf tourist customer experience and stimulate both the domestic and international golf tourism market.

After the launching of the Chapter II of its rebranding focused on four key elements (Art, Well-being, Music and culinary), the Long Beach has, once more, confirmed its status as an experience designer. The clients’ golf experiences have two prestigious venues. First of all, the Club House Golf course, extending over 38 hectares on the southern half of Ile aux Cerfs, is the fruit of the imagination of the famous golf player, Bernhard Langer. It is dedicated to players of all levels qui can, this enjoy the experience of playing in the midst of nature without losing a glimpse on the legendary lagoon. Then the 18-hole and par- 72 Anahita course, designed by Ernie Els and first in the Indian Ocean to be built to USGA (United States Golf Association) standards, it is 6,828 m long and five teeing areas.
