The sixth edition of La Paulée – hosted by Constance Hotels & Resorts – pays tribute to the finest in winemaking and promises to be an unforgettable experience, combining sommellerie, the culinary arts and the discovery of the terroir.
What is La Paulée?
It is an annual rendez-vous for a lively tribute to the traditional Burgundian festival, La Paulée de Meursault. This gathering is a time of friendship between winemakers and guests to celebrate the end of the harvest season in Burgundy.
Constance Hotels & Resorts seeks to recreate the spirit of “La Paulée” by creating a wine experience for its guests, helping the hotel group’s sommeliers to broaden their knowledge and strive for excellence.
The top gourmet event in Mauritius, La Paulée, will be hosted from 14 to 20 May 2023, highlighting five talented winemakers who will introduce their wines and share their passion and know-how during a range of food and wine pairing dinners.

Several renowned producers will be participating in La Paulée this year. Some of them are Domaine Devillard from Burgundy, Domaine Pierre Jean Villa from the Rhone Valley, Domaine Nouemarinic from Slovenia, Domaine Juliens Schaal from Alsace and South Africa, and Domaine Donovan Rall from South Africa.
The week will end with the La Paulée gala dinner featuring Chef Kritesh Halkory, – winner of the 2022 Bocuse d’or d’Afrique, twice winner of the Constance Festival Culinaire – and Stéphane Labastide – finalist of the World Pastry Cup and Pastry Chef of the Constance Prince Maurice.
And where there is wine, there is cheese! This exclusive event will include an exclusive focus on the art of cheesemaking with the participation of the prestigious cheesemaker Jules Mons from the Mons House.
