The East Coast adjusts to “new normal” lifestyle

In the wake of the lifting of national confinement in Mauritius, the hospitality sector faces the challenge of adopting new operational practices. SALT of Palmar intends a similar attitude upon its reopening on Monday 15th of June. The boutique hotel envisions innovative concepts such as distance working, home schooling, co-working and staycations… all in the “new normal” mode.

An upswing combining work and leisure

Mauritius’s wild and pristine coastline springs to life, thanks to the hotels’ offers. As a way to enjoy a break from the daily grind, the SALT of Palmar rekindles with a holistic concept for stays of two, four or seven nights.

“Turning SALT of Palmar into your home is bound to be the most satisfying experience; one where you can relax and devote time to yourself, while we handle and care for the rest. We have designed these deals to ensure a refreshing kick start to your week,” confides Raj Reedoy, Managing Director of SALT of Palmar.

Since the health and well-being of both its clients and employees are priorities, The Lux Collective launched Collective Care, in collaboration with SGS – the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company – a set of enhanced international health and safety standards for all its brands.

Enjoying the fresh sea air, the wide open spaces and a breathtaking view of the lagoon, both young and old are guaranteed to enjoy a change from the traditional working atmosphere. A co-working space has been designed for adults, while kids can do their online homework in a supervised workspace.

When it comes to leisure, children will be entertained at the Little Explorer Club with creative activities and games in the pool, whilst parents are treated by the Wellness Coach for a relaxing stroll before settling down at the Salt Room, or for some high-intensity exercise at the BootCamp Circuit.

Week-ends programmes for families including the Swimming Clinic for children and DIY workshops for parents are also available. Other activities include live music, yoga classes, forest bathing at Bras d’Eau, picnic at the beach, and boxing classes by the sea.

What’s left for you to say is: “We are coming back!”
