An informal intermediary space, halfway from home and work, Bloom is the place where you can chill with friends for a gourmet brunch, catch up with a colleague over a good breakfast or simply start your working day or your holiday with a delicious coffee. Jonathan Reidross, co-founder of Bloom and former co-franchisor of the Vida E Caffe brand in Mauritius, explains:
“ I always saw the potential of a coffee shop and a breakfast place in Mauritius. Today, while Vida E Caffe has introduced the coffee culture to the island, my associates and I wanted to create a space that breathes authenticity. Something new and unique, not limited to the requirements of a franchise. This is how Bloom was born. ”
The restaurant is a repurposed medical centre. With its garden and nature-inspired decor, showcasing a mix-and-match of various colours and textures, this trendy destination offers a whole experience to its visitors.
With different sets of menus for breakfasts, brunch and lunch – and hopefully dinner by next year –, Bloom offers flavourful journeys anytime of the day. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also available!

The restaurant strives to prepare all its dishes from the freshest possible products, working closely with local producers and farmers, most of whom are organic. One of them being the Dodo Concept Store. Dodo Cafe, brand of Brûleries la Fournaise, is a pioneer company when it comes to coffee roasting in Mauritius. Thanks to this partnership, Bloom offers only the very best roasted coffee to its customers.
Next door, we can find the exclusive clothing shop Goyco. Coined from goyava fruit and coconut, the boutique offers stylish clothing, along with beachwear and accessories… Mostly original items that are rarely found in Mauritius !
