A barman and his successful career
Pride is everywhere at Constance Belle Mare. And it is all thanks to its Assistant Bar Manager, Jonathan Nazira. He has been granted the title of “Best Bartender in Mauritius” at the World Class Indian Ocean 2018. This competition gathers barmen from the Indian Ocean region who present their tailor-made cocktails and, this year, it was held on 16th and 17th June at Dina Morgabine hotel, Reunion island. Six experienced barmen have competed for the title of « Best World Class Indian Ocean Bartender ».
On this third qualifying experience in the competition as a finalist, Jonathan Nazira has this time settled the title. As the laureate declared,
« It’s a great pride to have become the best bartender in Mauritius. This title is the fruit of several years of practice and discipline in my job. I also think about my family’s support as well as that of my co-workers from Constance Hotels and Resorts ».
As for the prize of “Best World Class Indian Ocean Bartender”, it has been awarded to Aurélie Armanville, barmaid at Vinyl Club in Saint-Denis, Reunion Island. She will fly to Berlin as the finalist and will compete against other bartenders from 57 countries.
