The tradition is to select a barman from the Beachcomber Group to create the Beautiful Cocktail. On the 23rd of October, Stephan Apollon has stood above the other 7 barmen at the grand finale at Dinarobin Beachcomber hotel. Happy of this consecration, which crowns his first participation at the challenge, he confides, “I am very happy and very proud to do the welcoming cocktail which will be served in the whole network of the Beachcomber hotels”. His personal touch has been devised from a fine mix of mint leaves, cane syrup, lemons from Rodrigues, ginger and passion fruit juice. One of the recipes explaining his success is the fact that, just a mathematician of flavours, he has thoroughly created his cocktail as he explains:

“I have prepared myself for several weeks and I have done at least eight trials, before finding the good mix”.

The magic formula has paid off and the jury has been charmed by his cocktail which refines a perfect association of fruity and slightly acid elements, which has the power to awaken desires of holidays and which calls upon a relaxing moment. The Beautiful Cocktail, a safe choice which forms part of the eight rituals of the Beachcomber Group, welcomes the guests as from their arrival. The group barmen’s creativity is, each year, able to delight the newcomers who discover a foretaste of Mauritius. This year, it will be the fruit of Stephan Apollon’s hard work which will open the celebrations of each holiday-maker’s tropical stay as from the 1st of October. The date is set!
