To engrave in our memories the rebirth of its iconic hotel, One&Only Le Saint Géran has called on the collegiate expertise of its Mauritius-based partners as well as of its international network. Supervised by the Michelin-starred Chef Marc de Passorio, the culinary experiences have been entirely revamped,

“Not only are we looking to exceed our resort guests’ expectations, but also attract island residents and visitors to the island of Mauritius who will want discover our resort through our new restaurants. A complete new journey awaits at One&Only Le Saint Géran”.

The outcome is up to expectations: 5 restaurants, proposing each a unique concept.

Tapasake is a new dining concept celebrating the Asian influence of the island. The restaurant’s open kitchen consists of a contemporary Asian tapas bar. Guests can enjoy theatre-style preparation of sushi, teppanyaki, batayaki and tandoor and share in the Spanish ‘tapas’ style of dining.

Then comes L’Artisan, the new artisanal bakery and specialist coffee lounge providing the perfect haven to enjoy informal and light food selections and perfectly crafted, barista- poured beverages to enjoy at the resort or on the way out on an afternoon excursion.

As everything is a source of new experiences at One&Only Le Saint Géran, don’t be surprised to find L’Artisan become La Terrasse dessert court at night. Reborn closer to the ocean, the experience has also been transformed with the introduction of distinctive new dining pavilions located over the pool. An inviting environment where one will want to linger, Chefs will be welcoming guests into their home, eager to interact as they create delicacies in front of them. The grand cooking range, called Bianca and which delights the whole kitchen staff, is gently commented by Chef Rakesh Sahye, « She’s beautiful ! ». As he adds, his kitchen is neither a restaurant, nor a buffet! It’s just different.
