Sandrine David Fanchette, director of Roche Bobois Mauritius, introduces us to the latest collection, to distil a poetic touch to your decoration, and to dress your home in the most beautiful way.

What’s new at Roche Bobois?

We have recently unveiled the Autumn-Winter collections in Mauritius, all of which can be admired in our online catalogue. They reflect, as always, our values at the core of our vision of the art of living.

This year, our designers have been working on a whole new outdoor collection. After the phenomenal success of our indoor sofa, the model Temps Calme is available in an outdoor version. Embellished with luxurious cushions designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, it will enhance any terrace with an unparalleled voluptuousness.

Sacha Lakic – one of the brand’s leading designers – has developed the AUREA table to complement it: an exclusive collection created from recycled and reworked solid oak floors obtained from old mineral water transport wagons. The outcome is surprisingly elegant! It should be noted that, as far as possible, each product created by Roche Bobois is based on an ecological production process.

Are all your new products destined for home exteriors this season?

Of course not! Roche Bobois develops a dozen new must-have models twice a year. This season, you will find magnificent avant-garde creations, such as the round SENSE sofa with its trendy fabric in extra thickness.

Andrea Casati also designed the Alliage glass and ceramic table for Roche Bobois. Its central base – made up of a bundle of steel blades cut into trapezoids, grouped together on the floor and flaring out in a particular arrangement – allows it to cleverly create ever-changing perspectives. The barrel-shaped version becomes a superb oval when the two extensions are extended.

The iconic Speed Up sideboard, conceived in 2005 by Sacha Lakic, now comes in a wooden version. The wave that drives its front is now reflected in a series of 64 solid oak slats, all different and assembled by hand on a black or white body.
