It is through its hotel establishment, Heritage Resorts, that the group organized a day of adventure to discover the fauna and flora of Bel Ombre.
Led by botanist Jean Claude Sevathian, this enriching expedition further highlighted the environmental involvement of Rogers Hospitality. The purpose of the mission was to discover the biodiversity of the Jacotet River in Bel Ombre. The botanist guide also improvised as a storyteller, sharing the history and anecdotes of this river with the participants. In addition, Jean Claude Sevathian, who has worked closely with the Rogers group for years, has played a major role in the rehabilitation of the Jacotet River.
Raising awareness
This mission initiated as part of the United Colors of Heritage program was held on 13th of March, and aimed to encourage awareness of the importance of protecting the environment. Jean Claude Sevathian, who has more than 20 years of experience in the field, assisted the dozens of participants to plant around thirty endemic plants, including peephole, mangrove, brown coffee and candle, offered by the Woods and Forests service.
Organised in close collaboration with the Department of Woods and Forests of the Ministry of Agro-industry, this activity of rehabilitation and reforestation of the Jacotet River is based on the five pillars of action of Now for tomorrow, the pact of sustainable development of Rogers Hospitality.
