Bernard Loiseau Festival is about to take its quarters for its 14th edition at Constance Belle Mare Plage from 16th to 24th of March 2019. Jean Jacques Vallet, CEO of Constance Hotels , Resorts and Golf, is flying high on this eventful gastronomy contest which will be hosted by the East Coast resort… the right venue to bring the cream of the crop and the public together under the aegis of fine cuisine!
First launched in 2006, the high-end contest is valued by professionals of the culinary trade. It provides them the opportunity to showcase their art, harmonising originality and regional products…. And original creations will definitely be at the rendez-vous for those coming from the finest kitchens in Europe as well as the “Constance” Chefs. Working hand in hand on the kitchen piano, they will have to put their creations to the test of the famous jury members’ palates. The proof of the pudding will here have to be in the cooking… as the top gastronomy talents will be judged by Dominique Loiseau, President of Bernard Loiseau SA ; Patrick Bertron, two-star Chef from La Côte d’Or restaurant in Saulieu, and Kjartan Skjelde, the Scandinavian Chef and host of Norwegian TV show.
As true representatives of their respective arts, the participants will compete in 7 categories: culinary contest; Deutz Trophy; Nespresso Café Gourmand; decorative arts; bar; sommelier contest, and Pierre Hermé Pastry Contest – assisted by Mercotte, Pastry Chef Frédéric Cassel, and Pastry World Champion in 2013, Quentin Bailly.
This 14th edition will welcome: Julien Poisot (France), Mikael Svensson (Norway), Maryline Nozahic (Switzerland), Sasha Kemmerer (Austria), Glynn Purnell (United Kingdom), and Takashi Kinoshita (France). These great figures will all be at their best, as well as the Chefs from Constance Hotels and Resorts’ to express their talent.
It will surely not be as easy as a pie and Luxury wishes them good luck. Bring on good taste and refinement!
